Position Overview:
The
Collision Detaile
r is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are thoroughly cleaned and restored to their pre-accident condition before being returned to the customer. This role plays a vital part in the customer experience, contributing to the quality and appearance of the finished repair.
Key Responsibilities:
Check in vehicles upon arrival and perform intake procedures including pre- and post-scans.
Take intake photos of vehicles and document condition accurately.
Clean vehicles thoroughly inside and out to meet pre-accident condition standards.
Perform final detailing, including washing, vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, and final clean before delivery.
Execute paint correction procedures such as wet sanding, buffing, and polishing as needed.
Wet sand and polish experience is considered a great asset.
Ensure all vehicles meet high-quality presentation standards for final QC and customer delivery.
Use appropriate hand tools and detailing products safely and efficiently.
Inspect completed work for thoroughness and accuracy.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detail area and equipment.
Assist the body shop team as needed with light prep or support tasks.
Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures.
Deliver customer vehicles offsite as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in automotive detailing, especially in a collision repair setting.
Skilled in wet sanding, machine buffing, and polishing techniques.
Familiarity with hand tools and automotive cleaning equipment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team environment.
