Job Description

We are looking to add a professional collision appraiser to our team at Bean Collision, Autobody & Glass.

We are looking for someone from the area that is ready to work closer to home and leave the commute into Ottawa behind. You will be working with a great team of professionals, conveniently located in the heart of Carleton Place on McNeely Ave.

The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive and will have an understanding of what happens to a vehicle when it is impacted. In order to succeed, you will need to be very comfortable working with computers, and using many software programs on a daily basis.

Providing a high level of customer service to our customers is paramount so we are are looking for someone who is able to communicate well with our customers and assist them in navigating the repair process.

Responsibilities include:

- Complete collision appraisals and communicate with insurance companies

- Order parts for collision repairs ( in conjunction with our parts department)

- Perform repair planning for collision technicians and submit finals to insurance company for payment

- Schedule collision repairs

- Manage and provide guidance to collision technicians

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies

- Maintain inventory of parts and supplies, ordering as needed

- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and customer satisfaction

- Handle customer inquiries and complaints, resolving issues in a timely manner

- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting and cost control

Skills:
- Experience in collision repairs estimating
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- Previous experience working in a collision center
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Hours:

8:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Friday

Compensation:

There will be a base salary of $55,000 per year paid bi-weekly plus a bonus based on the monthly total labour gross.
