Hand-wind large-diameter electrical coils (approximately 1 meter in diameter) using a manual jig system.
Accurately lay and tension wire to maintain consistent winding quality across multiple layers.
Follow detailed written and verbal work instructions, including custom winding diagrams and layer counts.
Maintain consistent build quality, speed, and attention to detail throughout production runs.
Keep accurate records of completed coils and report any irregularities or quality concerns.
Perform light maintenance and cleaning of winding tools and jigs as needed.
Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure product specifications are met.
Requirements
Previous experience with manual coil winding or fine motor mechanical work is strongly preferred.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Strong sense of spatial awareness and precision when working with physical layers.
Ability to interpret and follow technical instructions, both written and verbal.
Proven ability to maintain consistent workmanship across repeated builds.
Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality.
Comfortable working with adhesives, wire spools, and hand tools.
High attention to detail, patience, and commitment to product excellence.
Able to stand and work with arms extended for extended periods of time.
High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or relevant certifications are a plus.
Ability to adapt to a machine-assisted workflow including an operator station with a user-friendly interface.
On job training will be provided.
