About the Roles
MacKinnon Magnetics is hiring
two Production Associates
to support our transformer manufacturing operations:
Coil Winder
- focused on transformer coil winding
Production Floater / Coil Winder Trainee
- supporting preparation and general production work, with the goal of developing into a coil winder over time
Both roles are hands-on and play a critical part in our production process. We're looking for dependable, detail-oriented people with a strong attitude and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
Wind transformer coils according to drawings and work instructions
Set up and operate coil winding equipment
Measure, record, and verify winding dimensions and specifications
Maintain quality and consistency throughout the winding process
Follow all safety and quality procedures
Assist with prep work (material preparation, insulation, cutting, staging components)
Support multiple areas of the production floor as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
Prior experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or general labour is an asset
Comfortable using basic hand tools, measuring tools, and following written instructions
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new processes
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to follow safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized workplace
