Coffee Shop Team Member - Hourly Position
Toronto, ON

We're hiring a friendly, reliable Coffee Shop Team Member to support our Manager with day-to-day cafe operations. You'll prepare drinks, serve customers, and help keep the shop running smoothly. If you've worked in a coffee shop, cafe, or fast-paced food service environment -- or you're eager to learn -- we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Prepare espresso-based drinks (espresso, cappuccino, latte, cold brew, etc.) to standard Serve guests at the counter with a warm, professional attitude Assist with retail sales of wine and beer, following Smart Serve rules and ID checks Help with basic food preparation, plating, and display at the food counter Keep the bar, seating area, and back-of-house clean and organized Restock shelves, fridges, and displays; rotate products and check dates Use the POS system to take orders and process payments accurately Follow all health, safety, and food-handling procedures Support the Coffee Shop Manager with daily tasks and special promotions

Qualifications

Experience in a coffee shop, cafe, or restaurant is an asset (Starbucks, local cafe, quick-service, etc.) Basic barista skills or strong interest in learning (training provided) Comfortable with busy service, standing for long periods, and handling multiple tasks Reliable, punctual, and professional with good communication skills Team player willing to help wherever needed Food Handler Certification and Smart Serve (or willingness to obtain shortly after hiring) Interest in Italian-style coffee, wine, and beer is a plus
