JOB DESCRIPTION-SCOPE

The Coffee Packer is a member of the production team responsible for packing coffee to the highest specialty standards. The position includes learning 49th Parallel Roasters' packing standards, helping to maintain them, and ultimately improving them.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Pack coffee following established standards using precise scale loader and sealer with vacuum/nitrogen

Labeling packaging (perfectly aligned)

Maintain a clean packing area

Tracking of packed amounts

Ensure prelabeled packaging is organized

Assist with loading whole beans to either blending table or directly to scale loader

Organize and label packed coffee

Operate pallet jack to move packed coffee to storage area

After 6 months of training, be able to accurately and efficiently enter packed amounts in ERP system (Acumatica) and adjust sealer and scale loader

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Basic MS Office skills, specifically Excel and Word would be an asset
Ability to build strong internal working relationships and be an effective communicator

Have a "no job is too small" mentality: you roll up your sleeves, boldly jump in and get it done!

Ability to see a project through from beginning to end while demonstrating the ability to both multi-task effectively and prioritize tasks

Results-oriented and process driven, with high expectations of self and team

Positive outlook and ability to effectively receive and communicate feedback
