Code Ninjas is the nation's fastest growing kids coding franchise. In our centre, kids ages 5-14 learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way - by playing and building video games they love. Kids have a blast and can't wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white to black belt. Position and Role Description:

Are you aspiring to become a teacher? This is the perfect opportunity for you to lead a small class and start building an amazing resume by working with children through technology! You will be teaching our Code Ninjas Junior program to kids between 5-7 years old and a coding background is not mandatory! We have all the training available to make you an expert at the Junior curriculum. The successful candidate will get the chance to take full ownership of the class and inspire the kids through the fascinating world of coding and robotics.

Promote STEM Education to Kids Ages 5-7 years old.

Responsibilities include:

Training - review, understand and learn the curriculum Create and maintain a positive, safe and inclusiveenvironment in which students can grow Work with children to determine skill sets Provide feedback and support during new customer tours Follow opening/closing duties daily Clean dojo throughout the work schedule to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards Report daily to Centre Director with respect to day's activities and productivity in dojo Report weekly to Centre Director or the Owners on progress

Requirements:

Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certification in progress is Mandatory. OCT and ECE certification preferred. Energetic, enthusiastic, and creative individual with 1 year prior experience working with children ages 5 and up (mentoring, coaching, tutoring etc.) Ability to communicate and work with a variety of ages and skill levels Knowledgeable about coding and technology; be able to simplify basic coding concepts. Like working in fast-paced environments where requirements can change frequently Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and be professionally independent with minimum supervision Must be fun to work with and like working in fast-paced environments where requirements can change frequently Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C would be a valuable asset to have or will have to be trained in the first 3 months
Must love to work with children and must be FUN to work with.

Compensation (CAD): $15.50-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

Evenings 3 - 8pm Weekends - between 10AM - 4PM
