Job Summary


We are seeking passionate and dedicated Learn to Skate Coaches to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in Figure Skating or Hockey with a commitment to educating and developing athletes of all skill levels. This role involves providing instruction, motivation, and support to ensure participants achieve their personal best while fostering a positive and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities



Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of individual athletes and groups. Educate skaters on proper techniques, drawing circuit's, strategies, and safety protocols on the ice. Conduct weekend practice sessions, ensuring that all participants are engaged and progressing in their skills. Monitor the performance of students during practices providing constructive feedback for improvement. Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for skating among all participants. Organize and oversee skating sessions, including warm-ups, teaching skills, and post-event evaluations. Maintain a safe training environment by enforcing safety rules and guidelines at all times. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other coaches regarding progress and expectations.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a skating coach or instructor is preferred. MUST know how to draw skating circuits on the ice using bingo dabbers.
Strong knowledge of skating techniques, strategies, and competitive practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate effectively. Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to reach their full potential. Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus. Must be able to work weekend hours from 10:00 am to 10:30 am National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Hockey and/or Figure Skating Certification will be considered an asset.

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
