• Shift: Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Thursday 4:30PM to 1:00AM, Friday 2:00PM to 10:30PM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Sets up and operates CNC Milling machines using information sheets and directions given by the CNC programmers.

• Sets-up in 2D and 3D and produces accurate parts to specifications in a timely and safe manner.
• Operates multiple CNC machines when cycle times allow.
• Ensures blank materials are cut to specified dimensions on table saw, flycut to specified thickness on manual milling machine, and staged on the cart while time allows while running large programs to maximize efficiency.
• Assists Mould Finisher with Prototype and Final tool finishing, sampling, and testing when machine cycle allows (Includes drilling, grinding, sanding, polishing, sample machine operation and product fit testing)
• Assists Mould Finisher with Epoxy casting when machine cycle allows (includes weighing, mixing, pouring and curing of epoxy resin to create work pieces for mills)
• Drills and taps operations when required to mount tools on plates for production
• Reads and understands engineering drawings.
• Uses and reads a measuring caliper and other related measuring equipment.
• Fills out all related paperwork accurately and on time. Makes sure all parts are cut accurately and to the highest quality.
• Using the computer in the tooling shop office, the operator will keep the live schedule spreadsheet(s) up to date with status of each tool machined.
• Accountable to follow all policies and procedures defined in the company quality system.
• Responsible for machine maintenance (includes scheduled cleaning, oiling, greasing of moving parts, and repairs when necessary)
• Supports continuous improvements to include production methods, productivity, delivery performance, equipment performance, product quality and employee safety while engaging operators\xe2\x80\x99 ideas.
• Works with Department Manager and Group Leaders to develop improvement ideas that support business objectives.
• Ensures and initiates action with Group Leaders and Department Manager to eliminate issues preventing a quality, productive and on time delivery of a sample jobs.
• Reports to work on time and follows the call-in procedure.
• Reports any Health and Safety issues to department manager immediately.
• Conducts all work duties as per the Occupational Health & Safety Act & Regulations, the health, safety & environmental policies, procedures, and policies of Array Canada.
• Performs any other reasonable assignments given by Department Management or his/her designates.
