Job Summary

We are locally family owned steel service center seeking a skilled Plasma Operator to join our processing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating plasma cutting machines to fabricate high-quality components according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to read blueprints.

Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30PM.

Operate and maintain plasma cutting machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate components accurately. Utilize CAD software for programming and adjusting plasma cutting parameters. Conduct quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in fabrication. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues with machinery or production processes. Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Safely operate power tools, CNC machinery, and milling machines as required. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Experience

Previous experience as a p plasma Operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred. Familiarity with CAD software for programming plasma operations is highly desirable. Proficiency in using calipers and other measurement tools for quality assurance. Experience operating forklifts is a plus. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
