VDK Group Inc. is currently seeking to hire a full-time CNC Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is an integral part of our production process, responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to produce high-quality parts and components that meet precise specifications. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and quality of machining operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. What You'll Do
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machinery and related equipment to produce components according to production drawings and specifications
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements
Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job, ensuring efficient setup and changeovers
Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and product quality
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications
Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs
Collaborate with production supervisors, quality control, and engineering teams to resolve technical or production issues
Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste
What You'll Bring
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Experience operating CNC machines (milling, routing, or turning); experience in wood, metal, or aluminum machining is an asset
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
Competence in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
2+ years of experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar machining role (manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining or CNC operation is an asset
