Cherubini Bridges and Structures, a member of the Cherubini Group of Companies, is looking for two CNC Operators to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Summary

Our CNC Operators are responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery used to process heavy structural steel components.

We are recruiting two experienced heavy industrial CNC Operators to work from our steel fabrication facility on Wilkinson Avenue in Burnside.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate and monitor CNC cutting, drilling, and milling machines used in heavy steel fabrication. Interpret shop drawings and work orders to determine machine settings and production requirements. Set up, calibrate, and maintain CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and accuracy. Inspect finished parts for quality, dimensional accuracy, and conformance to specifications. Collaborate with fitters, welders, material handlers, and labourers to ensure smooth production flow and timely completion of projects. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines. Identify and report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards promptly.

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience operating CNC machinery in a heavy steel or industrial fabrication environment. Proficiency in CNC setup, and operation (experience with beam lines, plasma cutters, or drill lines an asset). Understanding of fabrication tolerances, steel grades, and machining processes. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

While the successful candidate(s) will be assigned to a primary shift, we require some flexibility to move between days and nights as required by production (vacation coverage, parental leave coverage, training, etc.).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week
