We currently have a need for
CNC Operators
at our facility in Elmira for Afternoon shift.
CNC Operators
use computer numerically controlled (CNC) to safely and efficiently maintain, control and operate CNC Angle Line machines used in the fabrication of our products. Experience with Robotic Weld Cell Operation is an asset. NOC code for this role is 94106 TEER 4.
Responsibilities:
Operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications and blueprints.
Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure adherence to manufacturing standards.
Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, including press brake machines.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of production output and machine settings.
Required skills and experience:
Previous experience operating CNC/Fabrication machinery and tooling, as well as precision measurement tools.
Experience operating a brake press an asset.
Knowledge of Operating a Robotic Weld Cell an asset.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
Ability to read blueprints and measure using fractions.
Mechanical aptitude and good math skills (mechanical and mathematical assessment will be done if selected for an interview).
Able to focus, attention to detail and results-driven approach.
Good communication abilities.
Knowledge of relative safety standards.
A high energy level, a positive attitude and able to work without direct supervision.
Ability to work well with others as a member of a team as well as independently.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Shifts (straight, non-rotating):
Days - Monday to Friday: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
Afternoon - Monday to Friday: 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm
Midnight - Sunday to Thursday: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
*Candidates must be willing and available to work any shift.
Wages:
CNC start rate: $26.73 and moves to $27.56 after 6 months.
Afternoon shift premium $0.80 / hour and night shift premium $1.05 / hour.
