Progressive Cabinets & Millwork, a member of the Cherubini Group of Companies, is looking for a

night shift

CNC Operator to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Progressive Cabinets & Millwork is Atlantic Canada's premiere supplier of multi-unit, commercial, and residential cabinetry and millwork. We're looking for a detail-oriented individual who takes pride in precision work and enjoys being part of a collaborative and fast paced production team. Summary

The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality cabinet components that meet design specifications and production schedules. The successful candidate will work closely with the Plant Foreman and Processing Department to ensure efficient workflow, minimize waste, and maintain a safe, organized work environment.

This role requires a strong attention to detail, a focus on safety, and technical/mechanical proficiency.

Job duties

Set up and operate CNC machines to produce cabinet components according to design specifications. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or cut lists. Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet required tolerances and standards. Maintain machine cleanliness, perform routine maintenance, and report any issues to the Plant Foreman. Work collaboratively with the Assembly and Edgebanding teams to maintain production flow. Optimize material usage and minimize waste through careful planning and attention to detail.

Requirements

Previous CNC operating experience in a cabinet manufacturing or woodworking environment preferred. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production documents. Basic computer skills and familiarity with CNC programming software. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Commitment to maintaining a safe and positive work environment.

Ability to work in-person at Progressive Cabinets & Millwork on night shift:

4:00 p.m. - 3:30 a.m., Monday - Thursday
