Sprung Structures' 13-decade history began in 1887 designing custom canvas products. The Sprung family of inventors innovated and improved the technology over the years, applying it for structures in multiple industries including, military bases, schools, hospitals, sports arenas, fabrication plants, warehouses, and now sound stages.

Sprung Structures is looking for a few qualified individuals to fill the role of CNC Operator in the Production Facility at our head office in Aldersyde.

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining, under the supervision of a machinist. The success of our CNC program relies on our skilled employees and dynamic shop to bring innovative projects to life.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary duties will include but are not limited to the assembly of components, machine operation, using various tools to drill, grind, or deburr aluminum or steel components; and helping other departments as necessary.

Qualifications:

As there are multiple roles to be filled, vacancies will be filled according to experience listed on a resume. In addition to the basic requirements listed below, those with forklift tickets would be an asset.

1 year experience and solid knowledge of equipment and basic tools Ability to read a tape measure in imperial system Able to perform repetitive tasks: packaging Able to accurately count while packaging Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly Familiar with the manufacturing industry Strong reading and writing skills in English for labels, safety warnings and guidelines Attention to detail is a must Ability to meet deadlines with a great safety record
Skill in excess of these requirements will be considered an asset

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday

6:30 am to 5:00 pm (40 hours)

4:30 - 2:30 (40 hours)
