What You'll Do
Supervise daily milling shop operations, optimizing workflows to ensure efficient production, on-time job completion, and seamless shift handovers
Train and manage operators through ongoing feedback, performance reviews, motivation strategies, and hiring recommendations to build a skilled team
Direct the workforce in adhering to safety protocols, efficiency standards, housekeeping practices, and accurate production reporting
Foster team morale by promoting fair discipline, employee recognition, respectful interactions, and adherence to company policies
Review deviations in measurements, tolerances, programming, and inspection records, implementing corrective actions for consistent quality assurance
Operate and troubleshoot 3- and 5-axis CNC vertical mills when necessary, diagnosing issues swiftly to minimize downtime and maintain equipment reliability
Collaborate closely with staff and cross-functional teams to enhance productivity, meet customer quality demands, and address additional assigned duties
What You'll Bring
Diploma or certificate in machining and/or CNC programming or equivalent experience
In-depth expertise in CAD/CAM principles, Mastercam/SIEMENS NX software, and setup/operation of 3- and 5-axis CNC vertical milling machines
Proficiency with precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges), along with strong troubleshooting and tolerance verification skills
Excellent soft skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, decision-making, and organized task planning to support effective leadership
10 years of hands-on CNC mill operation experience, plus 3-5 years in a supervisory role
