(Location: Calgary, AB) Aaron Machine Shop is looking for a journeyman/woman CNC Machinist or Operator with Mill experience for daytime or evening shifts.

What machines do you run?

We run Mazak and Haas lathes and mills. We use CAD (Solidworks) and CAM (Mastercam) software to streamline the production process.

Work Environment:

Friendly, independent machine shop with a family atmosphere Shop is centrally located in light industrial park Good variety of work due to diverse customer base Will operate Mazak and/or Haas CNC machines

Qualifications:

Journeyman machinist ticket - 3rd or 4th year apprentices with experience will be considered. Experience on CNC machines, including mills and/or lathes Experience on Mazak Mill and Mazatrol experience considered an asset.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive jobs from foreman and manager and carry out what is needed to complete the job Assess the jobs received and decide the most efficient way of completing the job without sacrificing quality - with the assistance of the manager if needed Check in with supervisor in the morning for a job schedule and list of priorities Operate CNC lathe Operate CNC mill Operate grinders & deburring equipment Operate automatic saw Operate a torch Heat treating over & quenching Operate overhead and jib cranes Operate forklift and pallet jack Operate all machines according to manufacturer specifications and formal hazard assessments Complete quality control on finished parts Materials and equipment handling Small - medium hand tool usage Disposal of scrap metal materials Maintain a clean and organized workspace General housekeeping duties Follow all safety protocols/policies
