Our facility has over 250,000 sq ft of floor space spread across six buildings where we transform raw lumber into custom doors and windows.
CNC Operator
We are looking for an experienced CNC operator to join our team.
As a key member of our CNC team, you will be responsible for assisting in operating the CNC to mill components of wooden windows and doors. Some duties include but are not limited to reviewing schedules, reviewing data for custom profiles, ensuring high quality output, maintaining on-time performance and adhering to company policies and procedures, including safety practices.
Responsibilities:
CNC Operation:
Preparing wooden components for milling, reviewing schedules, reviewing programmed data, completing data entry for order tracking, performing daily machine checks and general housekeeping.
Quality Control:
Implement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of processing components. Perform visual inspections and quality checks to identify any issues or discrepancies and take corrective actions as needed.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents, injuries, or damage to goods. Follow proper handling procedures for hazardous materials or fragile items. Stay informed about relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to operating CNCs.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in CNC operation and CNC programming
Understanding of best practices for tag and lock out
Mechanically inclined
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in CNC and machine operation
Availability to work overtime.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand, walk, or bend for extended periods.
Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and Excel is an asset
