We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Operator to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. This is a critical role that demands precision, accountability, and a proactive mindset. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on CNC machining experience, including proficiency in 2D and 3D machining, and be capable of operating Weiler and Fagor-controlled machines independently, with a strong willingness to perform repair and maintenance work, which constitutes 99% of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Operate CNC machines independently, particularly those with Weiler and Fagor controls, to produce precision components.
Interpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining strategies.
Perform quality control inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Conduct routine and corrective repair work on CNC machines and related equipment--repair and maintenance is the core function of this role.
Utilize hand tools and machinery, including press brake machines, for part fabrication and finishing.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, following all relevant health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize machining processes and resolve technical challenges.
Assist with training junior operators and support continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum 10 years of hands-on CNC operation experience with proficiency in both 2D and 3D machining techniques.
Proven expertise in independently operating Weiler and Fagor CNC controls.
Must be willing and able to carry out machine repair work (essential and non-negotiable).
Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with quality inspection standards and precision measurement tools.
Practical knowledge of API threading, cylindrical cuts, and Mod Acme threads.
Experience with press brake machines and general fabrication equipment is preferred.
Welding knowledge is considered a plus, though not required.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
