Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating laser cutting machines to fabricate metal components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and the ability to read blueprints accurately. The Laser Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure high-quality production and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Operate laser cutting machines, ensuring optimal performance and quality output. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting requirements. Perform routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure efficiency and safety. Utilize basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication. Assemble components as required, ensuring precision in fit and finish. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes. Use forklift safely for material handling within the manufacturing facility. Conduct quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure specifications are met. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years experience as a Laser Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machinery effectively. Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings. Math skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during operations. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
