Position Scope

Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret AutoCAD/Inventor drawings to operate laser-cut machines
- Operate CNC laser or plasma cutting equipment to cut sheet metal
- Organize materials and make the flat pattern for the machine
- Monitor the cutting operation and remove cut pieces as required
- Properly package and secure all orders which may include strapping and wrapping items accordingly
- Fulfill other production duties as instructed by Team Leader
- Ensure equipment and worksite are organized and free of clutter, rubble, and garbage
- Abide by the requirements of WorkSafeBC and the safety manual/procedures
- Assist machine technicians in different machine processes
- Other manufacturing-related duties as required
- One year of full-time laser cutting experience
- Punctual, strong and reliable work ethics
- Ability to work long hours
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work both independently as well as in a team setting
- Possess a positive can-do attitude and is a great team player
- Experience is an asset; however, full training will be provided
