Must-Have Qualifications
Technical diploma or degree in a relevant field
Minimum 5 years of Hands-on experience in Quality Assurance and programming CMM.
Proficiency in:
CMM setup and operation
Faro Arm and Polyworks software
GD&T and drawing interpretation
Working knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 17025 systems, and familiarity with AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, and ASME codes & standards.
Experience in gauging methods, calibration, and gauge R&R
Skilled in precise measurement techniques and equipment
Experience in Automotive and/or Aerospace industry
Have good communication skills to deal with customer and suppliers.
Desired Skills
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities
Proficiency in quality control methodologies and practices within a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with machining processes and tooling is highly desirable.
Experience using Polyworks.
Solid math skills for precise calculations related to measurements and tolerances.
Experience with:
5-Phase, 8D, Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma
ISO/TS16949, AS9100, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001
APQP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, Process Control Plans
Ability to present quality metrics and improvement plans to management
Proficiency in MS Office, CAD, and statistical analysis software
Key Responsibilities
Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM), to perform dimensional inspections.
Apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate measurements and quality control Ensure compliance with customer and legislative quality requirements
Collaborate with engineering teams using SolidWorks and CAD software for design validation.
Maintain records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities
Support production teams to meet internal and client QMS standards
Maintain Lean and 5S initiatives within the department
Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on product transfers
Conduct internal audits and close out findings
Analyze failures and customer complaints to drive preventive actions
Manage quality documentation (manuals, procedures, reports)
Oversee receiving and outgoing quality functions
Conduct layout inspections and release finished products
Ensure daily first-off and in-process inspections on all machines as required
