As industry leader in the automotive industry for metal stamping and assembly, Kapco Tool & Die has a career opportunity for a permanent, full-time Quality Engineer. Our stamping processes utilize both progressive and tandem dies, specializing in deep draw, aluminum, ultra high strength steel (UHSS) and complex stamping dies.



Job Summary


Program and Operate CMM to perform part/fixture layouts Assess design, stability, and functionality of checking fixtures Perform and assess Gauge R&R studies Perform and assess capability studies Perform and assess forming analysis Produce sample inspection packages to submit to customer Schedule and lead 106 and 300 PC runs Manage and maintain ISO operating system




Job Requirements


College or University engineering graduate, with a focus in Quality Engineering/Automotive option; Minimum 3-5 years experience shop-floor experience using check fixtures, quality control checks, segregating non-conforming material in an ISO environment 1-2 years experience in operating CMM is preferred Proficient in GD&T Experience in metal stampings and/or welded assemblies is an asset Knowledge of Quality Systems including, control plans and operator instructions using ISO standards Monday to Friday with weekend work periodically
