Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Configuration Management / Data Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of a comprehensive library of technical data, reference materials, company manuals and engineering data, as well as populating and maintaining databases in support of Eagle's business units.

Data Library Management:

Catalog, organize, and maintain technical documents, manuals, engineering drawings, design specifications, and other aerospace?related resources in both physical and digital formats. Develop and implement classification and indexing systems for easy retrieval of information. Implement data governance policies to ensure data accuracy, security, and accessibility. Track document usage and develop usage reports to understand and enhance library services Manage digital libraries and repositories, ensuring that digital assets are stored in a secure, accessible format. Organize, update, and maintain metadata and naming conventions, file structures and classification for digital materials in the company's document management system. Support the implementation of knowledge management initiatives, helping to create and maintain databases that facilitate information sharing. Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and reports. Manage the purchase of and subscriptions for technical data or publications and their incorporation into the technical library.

Information Retrieval, Distribution and Update:

Build and maintain aircraft specific data sets for use by the production team for aircraft completions and other activities. Assist engineering, project management, quality and production personnel in locating and accessing information relevant to their needs. Provide reference and research services to support ongoing projects, business development, and compliance initiatives.

Configuration Management:

Manage the Engineering Document Control process, including assigning unique identifiers, tracking document revisions, approvals, and distribution. Define and enforce version control and baseline management for all project documentation, drawings, and software. Conduct regular configuration audits to verify product integrity and ensure that all changes are accurately documented and traceable. Maintain Eagle's central Document Control repository of engineering, manufacturing, quality and company documents to ensure easy access and retrieval by team members.

Continuous Improvement:

Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and procedures to improve library services and digital document management. Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to improve information systems and support strategic information management goals. Identify and implement best practices and improvements in configuration and data management processes. Lead or participate in initiatives to improve data quality, reduce cycle times, and enhance information accessibility.

Training and User Support:

Develop instructional guides, procedures, and tutorials to help staff efficiently access and use resources. Provide training and support to team members on the effective use of the library, configuration management and data management systems and practices.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Library Science, Information Science, Information Management, Data Management, Configuration Management or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3 years of experience in a technical library or information management role. Knowledge of configuration and data management principles, standards, and best practices Proficiency with document management systems, digital library software, and metadata standards. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a focus on accuracy. Excellent communication and research skills, with a customer?focused approach. Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to be self?motivated, work independently, as well as being part of a team Excellent computer skills relating to Microsoft Office, ERP and Quality related software suites. An understanding of effective continuous improvement. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.

Preference will be given to applicants who also possess:

Certification in Configuration Management, Data Management, Records Management, Information Management, or Knowledge Management. Experience in the aerospace, defense, engineering, or manufacturing industry. Familiarity with aerospace or engineering technical documentation, including standards, specifications, and regulations (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). Knowledge of engineering terminology, aerospace documentation standards, and regulatory compliance. Experience with database management, data governance, and metadata management. Familiarity with software version control tools. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data reporting and visualization tools.
