In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll contribute to the operational direction and development of roadmaps related to cloud infrastructure architecture at WorkSafeBC. You\xe2\x80\x99ll collaborate with teams to support engineering efforts for WorkSafeBC\xe2\x80\x99s cloud and infrastructure technologies. In this role, you\xe2\x80\x99ll work primarily from your B.C. home and at least one day a month in our Richmond office.What you\'ll doAs a Cloud Systems Engineer I you will:

  • Deploy and maintain WorkSafeBC applications on both on-premise and Azure cloud platforms
  • Manage automation for Azure DevOps pipelines, using both classic and yaml formats
  • Participate in team on-call rotation and resolve incidents within the SLAs set by WorkSafeBC
  • Assist in hybrid cloud integration back to legacy systems and migration of workloads from on-premise to IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
  • Build automation to proactively monitor, detect and prevent failure to reduce time to resolution
  • Create, convert, and support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD) pipelines for micro-services supporting containers, auto scaling and service discovery

Your experience and educational background:
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
  • A minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in progressively complex roles and projects within an IT environment with a primary focus of one year on cloud technologies.
