We use a wide range of data and intelligence to achieve four objectives:

Help insurers identify fraud through integrated advanced analytics and investigations;

Enhance and enable cross-insurer investigations coordinated by \xc3\x89quit\xc3\xa9;

Lead stakeholder in vehicle and hard-asset recover & identification services; and

Support law enforcement, regulators, professional colleges and other public investigative agencies to identify criminals and bring them to justice. We will also endeavour to raise public awareness about consumer scams: how they work and how to detect and prevent them.

The Cloud Operations Manager, reports to the Director, Head of Technology Solutions and requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The Cloud Operations Manager role is primarily responsible for providing technical and operational leadership for the cloud platform application. Working with the Director, Head of Technology Solutions, the platform engineering team and the cyber security team, the role will ensure best practices in operating a secure cloud infrastructure and related standards to ensure the foundation which reflects the infrastructure needs and concerns of the members.

Specific accountabilities include:

Lead operational ITIL activities and improvements including incident management and operational capacity planning

Coordinate incident management with members and third-party vendors

Use monitoring tools and system analytics to quickly diagnose and create documentation for root cause analysis

Use monitoring tools to monitor resource usage and cost and collaborate with engineering teams in creation of cost optimisation concepts

Use monitoring tools to investigate outage patterns and pro-actively collaborate with engineering teams in creation of continuous improvement of platform stability

Ensure the operative availability of business continuity processes and resources

Hands-on experience with Networking and Security Concepts. Conduct risk assessment checks on systems, firewalls and update security procedures

Providing best practices for operating and maintaining cost-efficient scalable cloud environment, as required

Qualifications

5+ years of prior experience operating a cloud based infrastructure

A university degree in the field of Information Technology

An understanding of infrastructure operation concepts, in any cloud providers (e.g. AWS, GCP), commonly deployed services, and serverless technologies. \xc3\x89quit\xc3\xa9 uses AWS.

Proven track record of incident management and post mortem practices

Proven track record of tracking and documenting incident change management

Experience with operating cloud infrastructure including VPC, subnets, NAT, WAF, serverless technologies, etc.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly, collaborative attitude

Experience in continuous deployment environment and Agile SDLC environment is an asset

Any of following certifications are an asset: AWS DevOps certification, AWS Security Specialist, AWS SysOps Administrator

Experience in the P&C insurance industry a strong asset

Knowledge of Governance/ Compliance/Standards - ISO 27001 is an asset
