About the Opportunity
A well-established, European-based software organization with a growing Canadian contingent of talent in Ottawa, is looking to add a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to their R&D group. Reporting to the Manager, IT Operations, this person will collaborate with SRE's and DevOps Engineers in the shared pursuit of building and maintaining high-availability infrastructure in both cloud and on-prem environments. Above all, they value attitude and aptitude over the perfect technical fit.
This is a permanent position with one of the region's top employers. About You
The successful candidate will have the following:

• Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering Mathematics or equivalent
• 4+ years industry experience in a system administration, system engineering, SysOps, or cloud engineering capacity with extensive knowledge of Linux systems
• Strong cloud engineering/operations experience across various cloud services providers; AWS, Azure, GCP, etc. and knowledge of NoSQL databases such as ElasticSearch
• Strong knowledge of and experience with CI/CD and containerization/orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm, etc. and IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; ability to thrive autonomously as well as within a team
