Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist in menu planning and development, ensuring variety and quality Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages Assist with catering events as needed, ensuring high-quality food service

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods Familiarity with dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in meal preparation Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Experience in menu planning, catering, or fine dining is highly desirable
