LivingWell Counselling Therapy is a specialty practice, treating a variety of complex trauma and mental health struggles. We are looking for experienced Independent Contractors who can easily establish rapport and trust with clients.
Ideally holding a minimum of 1-2 years experience working in a clinical therapist role, you would be able to demonstrate good relationship building both with clients and referrers, have experience in using software systems (training provided) and be passionate in the therapy you offer.
Candidates must have a comprehensive understanding of a thorough assessment, treatment planning, and the ability to effectively implement treatment interventions. As well as complete all documentation in a timely manner.
The role will provide support to clients on an individual, couples (can be discussed) and potentially a group basis. You will be requested to manage your own caseload and work with the wider team to ensure the service and care we offer is to an exceptional level.
The candidate will provide additional services that enhance our current services and help fulfill increasing referrals to the organization.
You Bring:
Masters of Social Work and Registered with NSCSW, or Masters Psychology, Registered Counselling Therapist with NSCCT, Registered Psychologist with APNS (Other equivalent qualifications will be considered).
Training in EMDR Level 1&2 and experience in EMDR an asset but not required
Hold up-to-date liability insurance
Effective, clear oral and written communication skills.
Work independently, with ability for a flexible schedule both in-office or telehealth.
Work closely with billing (minimal required), and maintain credentialing with commercial insurances,
Coordinate care with other providers.
Uphold best practice standards for complete and timely documentation.
Maintain supervision based on your respective field requirements.
Demonstrate critical thinking skills, problem-solving skills,
Professionalism, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently
Understand and uphold PIPEDA Federal law regarding patient privacy and confidentiality.
Computer software proficient (Microsoft, Google Docs, etc.).
Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work in a timely manner.
Couples Counselling training an asset
Group facilitation, program development (willingness to explore opportunity)
