About the Opportunity
The Clinical Therapist is a member of the Adult Service team in Mental Health and Addictions. Reporting to the Manager, the Clinical Therapist takes primary responsibility for overseeing the development, implementation, and coordination of clinical treatment programs for children diagnosed with ASD. It is an expectation that the Clinical Therapist will act in a professional and ethical manner, following all recognized codes of ethics, standards, legislation, and guidelines relevant to clinical practice and profession. They will convey respect and a solid understanding of subtle and complex diversity and inclusion issues as they relate to specific groups. The Clinical Therapist will also be required to collaborate with members of the team and community partners/ organizations to provide a holistic, client/ family-centered approach. The Clinical Therapist is responsible for ensuring compliance with acts, regulations, and standards with the applicable professional body in Nova Scotia as well as acts, regulations, policies, standards, guidelines, mission, and objectives of the Department of Mental Health & Addictions and Nova Scotia Health. Travel will be required for this position.
