Nova Scotia Mental Health and Addictions Program is actively seeking Clinical Therapists to support services in our (click for more information about living and working in Northern Zone).
About the Opportunity
Our Clinical Therapists provide assessment, treatment planning, evidence-based interventions, and crisis management for clients. In addition to those duties, the Clinical Therapist has the opportunity to participate in evidence-based training and education opportunities through the Provincial Centre of Training Education and Learning (PCTEL), as well as, quality initiatives in the program of care, engage in collaborative person-centred care, and utilize available information technology to support best practice. The Clinical Therapist receives and provides supervision and mentorship. It is an expectation that the Clinical Therapist will act in a professional and ethical manner, following all recognized codes of ethics, standards, legislation, and guidelines relevant to clinical practice and profession. They will convey respect and a solid understanding of subtle and complex diversity and inclusion issues as they relate to specific groups. Our various areas of opportunities include: Child and Adolescent, Adult, School-based and Crisis and Urgent Care Services within our Mental Health and Addictions teams.
