As our Clinical Therapist, you play a central role within our interdisciplinary team, collaborating to deliver comprehensive diagnostic, assessment, and treatment services for youth facing complex emotional and behavioural challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing tailored support and consultation; empowering youth to develop essential skills and thrive in their community environments. This role offers a unique chance to make a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable youth, guiding them towards brighter futures.
Primary Accountabilities
You\'ll be at the forefront of our comprehensive care approach, where every day brings new opportunities to make a difference. From conducting clinical interventions to leading group therapy sessions, you\'ll be instrumental in guiding our youth toward brighter journeys. But that\'s just the beginning!
As our Clinical Therapist, you\'ll also provide invaluable consultation on behavioural analysis and management techniques. You\'ll be a key player in crafting and refining intervention plans, ensuring they\'re tailored to each individual\'s needs. Using your creative and innovative approaches, you\'ll develop and facilitate workshops and training sessions for both our youth and their families. In addition, your expertise will guide the implementation, assessment, and evaluation of personalized treatment and discharge plans, working hand in hand with our youth, their families, and our partners to ensure every step of their journey is a success.
Qualifications and Experience
You have completed your Masters degree in a clinical discipline such as Counselling Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or a related degree which includes a practical element of training experience in delivering mental health treatment and assessments. You must be eligible for registration, or be registered by, the Nova Scotian or Canadian regulatory body or professional association related to the qualifying education.
