About MacKay Manor

MacKay Manor provides a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed bed-based treatment program for women seeking recovery from substance use. Our team is dedicated to fostering empowerment, dignity, safety, and healing. We maintain a client-centered approach that acknowledges the unique experiences of women, including the impact of trauma, gender-based violence, and systemic barriers.

Position Summary

The Clinical Support Staff provides supervision, therapeutic support, and program facilitation for women participating in our bed-based recovery program.

This role includes individual counselling, group facilitation, crisis intervention, daily living support, and coordination with external services. The ideal candidate is compassionate, experienced in mental health and addictions, and grounded in trauma-informed, anti-oppressive practice.

Qualifications

Required:

College diploma in Social Service Work/Social Work, Counselling, Addictions, or a related Human Services field

OR

one (1) year of full-time experience in the addictions and/or mental health field. Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, harm reduction, and recovery-oriented care. Experience providing individual supportive counselling and facilitating therapeutic groups. Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis management skills. Ability to maintain accurate and professional documentation.

Assets:

ICADC Certification or working toward Certification through CCACF.

Knowledge of OPOC and Ministry of Health reporting requirements.

CPR/First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, ASIST certification.

Work Conditions

Evening and weekend availability required. Participation in an on-call or emergency response rotation may be required. Moderate physical activity, including facility rounds and light maintenance tasks.
