This role is also eligible for compressed work week program.


Job Summary




A Clinical Supervisor/Trainer may be required to work across the regions of York, Durham, Simcoe, Toronto, Peel, and Four Counties within the Ontario Autism Program and Kinark's fee-for-service autism program to provide BCBA supervision of a clinical case load, oversee clinical staff, support delivery and asset development of our service offerings and as a Clinical Supervisor/Trainer, conduct and/or supervise the implementation of various training activities across all of the programs


Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):




Provide clinical supervision, training, and evaluation of staff for the range of autism services offered at Kinark; Create or oversee the development of client goals, programs, treatment plans, and reports; Develop/oversee/deliver service offerings (e.g., parent education workshops, consultation, groups, assessments, home- and centre-based ABA); Conduct and/chair meetings with staff, families, and others as necessary; Liaise with multidisciplinary team in joint service planning and review; Oversee the development and implementation of staff training; Supervise and train the Senior Therapists (STs) and the Instructor Therapists (ITs); Develop and support performance improvement plans; Ensure compliance and tracking of mandated and certified training requirements; Track and coordinate external training events; Facilitate the recruitment of ITs and STs; Ensure effective evidence-based and ethical practices are delivered; Remain updated on current literature regarding evidence based practices and undertake research to present at conferences and/or for publication; Maintain and organize all administrative functions in support of service delivery as needed.




Qualifications:




Master's Degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or Psychology.*
BCBA certification (which is now R.B.A. (Ont)). Minimum of 3 years' experience in ABA intervention approaches for the treatment of children/youth with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Extensive experience with staff training, and a minimum of 2 years managing staff. Certification with Safe Management Group as an Advanced Trainer would be an asset. Experience creating and/or delivering trainings, groups (e.g., social skills), behavioural assessments and consultative services. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, good problem solving skills, and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment. Excellent computer (MS Office) and presentation skills including fluency with PowerPoint. Travel is required for this position; the successful candidate must have a valid Ontario driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars. * Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration.
