Your Opportunity:We have an exciting leadership opportunity for a qualified candidate to join our dynamic Addiction and Mental Health Housing team. This is a large and diverse team that provides AMH supports to various types of housing sites with varying levels of complexity across the Edmonton Zone. The Clinical Supervisor provides professional leadership that includes planning, coordination and clinical supervision for Addiction and Mental Health clinicians that support best practice and clinical standards. The clinical supervisor will offer clinical supervision across all AMH Housing teams and will report to the Care Managers for AMH Housing. This advanced level clinical position works with staff, teams, and housing operators to provide oversight and supervision of addiction and mental health services for clients with complex and multiple needs. The position involves provision of direct expert clinical support and consultation to team members as assigned. This position also provides leadership in and facilitation of program development, service planning, staff development, discipline competency evaluation, quality improvement and service area evaluation or research activities as required. Responsibilities will include consultation and effective involvement with relevant community partners. This will require the incumbent to be able to work both independently in their daily tasks and to also work collaboratively with the AMH Housing Leadership Team (CM\'s, PM, Director and Clinical Lead) to develop process and practice. In addition, the Clinical Supervisor will have the opportunity to provide direct client care by providing short term support to some of the most complex individuals within the AMH Housing portfolio until the individual is stabilized and able to return to their clinical team. This role requires a strong clinical lens.Description:As a Clinical Supervisor, you will provide clinical supervision for a discipline, practice area or service sector supporting clinicians to provide excellence in professional practice and enable quality, patient and family-centered care. In this clinical leadership role, you will provide clinical supervision to staff providing addiction and/or mental health services to individuals, families, and groups. This role involves supervision related to a range of assessment, mental health (psychosocial and psychological interventions), and other activities. You will be required to supervise regulated staff requiring supervision to meet the regulatory requirements for practice, and/or to unregulated staff providing the restricted activity of psychosocial intervention. This may include observing clinical sessions, reviewing clinical documentation and written reports, conducting team case consultations and offering support, and providing guidance and direction to clinical staff with challenging and urgent cases in a timely manner. In your role, you may work with members of the interdisciplinary team, psychiatrists and community partners in support of effective professional and collaborative practice. You may contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of mental health treatment services in a hospital setting or community. You may also identify and address gaps in clinical practice as well as facilitate addressing of system level gaps and risk management issues. You may provide support to leadership in the hiring, orientation and performance evaluation of clinical staff.

Required Qualifications:Master\'s degree in Psychology or Social Work or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college. 5 years\' experience in providing mental health assessment and intervention, including restricted activity of psychosocial intervention. Additional Required Qualifications:Master\'s Degree in Psychology or Social Work (with Psychosocial Intervention Authorization). Bachelor\'s Degree in Occupational Therapy, including the assessment and provision of psychotherapy - Master\'s in Occupational Therapy preferred. Bachelor\'s Degree in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing, including the assessment and provision of psychotherapy - Master\'s in Nursing preferred. For all disciplines an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Minimum of 5 years demonstrated clinical experience working within community addiction and mental health. Minimum 3 years of formal or informal supervisory experience. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with partnerships in the provision of a full range of services, from consultation to treatment. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals, interdisciplinary teams and other departments. Demonstrated ability to be creative, flexible, well organized, efficient, self-directed, dependable, and a collaborative systems thinker. This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver\'s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required. Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated understanding of the houseless-serving sector including population served, demand, various stakeholders involved and the intersection with AMH Housing. Demonstrated clinical expertise and reflective practice. Demonstrated understanding of information sharing, ethics and duty to report. Strong computer skills an asset.
