Your Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Supervisor in the Children, Youth, and Families, Addiction and Mental Health (CYF AMH) Community Addiction and Mental Health Services portfolio! This advanced level clinical position works with CYF AMH Community Clinic teams to provide addiction and mental health services for clients with complex needs and provides expert clinical support and consultation to team members. This position will take a lead role in providing clinical practice supports to clinicians; planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing quality improvement initiatives in Community Clinics; orienting and enhancing therapeutic competencies within the clinician group; and monitoring, evaluating, and responding to clinical outcomes. The Clinical Supervisor also provides direct client care through group facilitation, providing individual and family interventions, and providing support for Walk-In services. This position provides leadership in and facilitation of broader program development, service planning, staff development, clinical skill competency evaluation, quality improvement, and evaluation and research activities. This position will work days with some early evening work when facilitating groups and will primarily support the Leduc, Sherwood Park, and Fort Saskatchewan Community Clinics. This position reports to the Program Manager for CYF AMH Community Addiction and Mental Health Services.

Description:

As a Clinical Supervisor, you will provide clinical supervision for a discipline, practice area or service sector supporting clinicians to provide excellence in professional practice and enable quality, patient and family-centered care. In this clinical leadership role, you will provide clinical supervision to staff providing addiction and/or mental health services to individuals, families, and groups. This role involves supervision related to a range of assessment, mental health (psychosocial, and psychological interventions), and other activities. Supervision may be provided to regulated staff, those requiring supervision to meet regulatory requirements for practice, and/or to unregulated staff providing the restricted activity of psychosocial intervention. This may include observing clinical sessions, reviewing clinical documentation and written reports, conducting team case consultations and offering support, and providing guidance and direction to clinical staff with challenging and urgent cases in a timely manner. In your role, you may work with members of the interdisciplinary team, psychiatrists and community partners in support of effective professional and collaborative practice. You may contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of mental health treatment services in a hospital setting or community. You may also identify and address gaps in clinical practice as well as facilitate addressing of system level gaps and risk management issues. You may provide support to leadership in the hiring, orientation and performance evaluation of clinical staff.

Required Qualifications:

Master\'s Degree in Psychology or Social Work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Active or eligible for registration with the applicable regulatory college. Five years\' experience in providing mental health assessment and intervention, including restricted activity of psychosocial intervention. Additional Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a master\'s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing. Equivalent education and experience may be considered. Registration in a professional regulatory body in Alberta as defined by the Health Professionals Act (CARNA, CRPNA, ACOT, CAP, ACSW). Current BLS. A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in mental health, with at least 3 years of clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health, preferably in a community-based setting. Advanced knowledge and skill in mental health assessment and intervention, including experience in group facilitation. Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation. An excellent attendance record, reliability, and personal suitability as demonstrated through your employment record and references. Preferred Qualifications:

Registered Social Workers must be authorized to perform psychosocial interventions and designation as a Clinical Social Worker is preferred. Experience using Connect Care is preferred.
