Clinical Research Professional - Ethics & Regulatory Affairs

Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the Research Officer, the ERA CRP functions as an essential member of the research office team and is responsible for actively ensuring all clinical/ translational research team members adhere to all institutional, provincial, national and international guidelines and regulations for the conduct of clinical and translational research. The ERA CRP is responsible for preparing and coordinating the initial and continuing ethics, regulatory and impact reviews of clinical and translational research run through the CancerCare Manitoba Research Institute. The ERA CRP must ensure the appropriate dissemination of study and regulatory information to all research team members and maintain standards of excellence in research management.

This position will work closely with CCMR researchers and their research teams, with the CCMB research oversight body (Research Review Impact Committee), the research office team, CCMR and CCMB departments

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in a healthcare or research setting, Health Information Technologist/Health Information Management Diploma or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education in a health care field plus research-related experience may be considered
  • Ethics and regulatory affairs experience
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and work under pressure while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Evidence of excellent communication (oral, written and listening), organization and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated excellent work record
  • Demonstrated proficiency in English
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), internet
  • Demonstrated attention to accuracy and detail
  • Demonstrated professional and ethical behaviour in the workplace
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada
Preferred:
  • Clinical and/ or translational research experience
  • Experience working in oncology
  • Certification in clinical research (e.g. SoCRA or ACRP)
Asset:
  • Experience working or volunteering in a health-care environment
  • Ability to speak French
Salary: As per CUPE Collective Agreement
