Waypoints provides Level Four group care and support services for young people and families. We are currently hiring for the position of:

CLINICAL PROGRAM CONSULTANT

Internal/External - Temporary for One year, Part-time (40 hours bi-weekly)

We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Clinical Program Consultant to provide part-time consulting support to our programs. This role will offer clinical insight, program development input and consultation to ensure our services reflect best practices in child and family mental health, trauma-informed care, and family systems work.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Provide clinical consultation and guidance to frontline staff and Program Coordinators

Support program development and evaluation with a clinical lens

Participate in case consultations, team and program meetings as needed

Advise on trauma-informed and evidence-informed practices

Offer critical incident debriefing to employees when required

Collaborating and working with a multidisciplinary team, including the Department of Children, Seniors and Social Development and other community agencies;

Reports directly to the Executive Director

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

:

Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling or related field from a recognized university

Registration or eligibility to register, with a professional regulatory body

Minimum 5 years' experience working with children and families

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

Knowledge of trauma-informed care, family systems, and culturally responsive practice.

Demonstrated supervisory, leadership and analytical skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

A strong attendance record.

Ability to adapt to various social and interpersonal situations and develop creative and flexible responses.

Ability to evaluate self.

Use of a private vehicle, a valid Criminal Records screening certificate, a CSSD Records Check, and a valid First Aid/CPR certificate are also conditions of employment.

HL-18
