Job Summary
The Clinical Physiotherapist II coordinates physiotherapy outpatient services at Carbonear General Hospital. Clinical mentorship and supervision is provided to two clinical physiotherapist I\'s, as well as one physiotherapy support worker. The majority of the clinical work is outpatient practice. Coverage to inpatient areas of the Carbonear General Hospital and Long Term Care is required as necessary.

In addition to the clinical role, this position participates in quality improvement activities. Committee memberships, as well as participation in the direction, planning and implementation of evidence-based physiotherapy practice will be required. The Physiotherapist II is responsible for consulting and advising other physiotherapy staff assigned to the program, providing direction and leadership as required.

This position reports to the Regional Manager of Allied Health Services for the area and maintains accountability to the Professional Practice Consultant for Physiotherapy for integrity and professional practice issues.

Occasionally lifts or moves objects between 10 - 37 lbs.
Regularly requires a combination of sitting, standing and walking.
Regularly required to bend, kneel, stretch and physically lifting, pushing, pulling and/or maneuvering patient/clients with medium force, including transferring patients and assisting with mobility.
Occasionally uses hand tools and equipment.
Time pressures and interruptions are experienced with little control over work pace.

Job Qualifications
Graduation from an approved/recognized School of Physiotherapy is required.
Registration with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Physiotherapists (NLCP) is required.
A minimum of three years\' experience within the last five working as a Clinical Physiotherapist with adult clients is required.
Successful completion of a post entry education course in Orthopedic Level I (or equivalent as determined by Eastern Health) is required.
Demonstrated effective communication, both verbally and in writing with co-workers, patients and their families in both a one-on-one and/or group environment.
Effectively translated and communicated knowledge in the specialized area of physiotherapy practice to others.
Possessed proven leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide supervision, coaching, mentorship and training to physiotherapists, physiotherapy support workers and students.
Ability to prioritize caseload and patient needs.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as a member of an interprofessional team.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
