The Access to Care leadership team is seeking a full-time, permanent Clinical Operations Coordination Leader who will be critical in supporting the operation and coordination of both clinical and administrative functions for CAMH Patient Flow and the Emergency Department. You will work collaboratively with the CAMH Patient Flow Manager, Emergency Department leaders, Inpatient and Outpatient leaders, as well as front line staff. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Emergency Department, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Co-ordination of CAMH Patient Flow

  • Liaising with internal and external partners
  • Coordination and standardization of patient flow processes
  • Coordinating and managing the rollout of corporate initiatives
  • Assisting with and operational coverage for clinical operations including case conferences, team huddles and crisis management
  • Supporting the ongoing strategic priorities of the program
  • Collaboration with managers on scheduling and coordination of staff
The Clinical Operations Coordination Leader will support Patient Flow protocol, communication and guideline development; assist with the monitoring of operating costs, budgets and resources; create reports, analyze and interpret data; and, coordinate and assist with recruitment.You will contribute to staff development by promoting and ensuring a supportive/collaborative learning environment based on the principles of adult learning and practice standards; performing human resources responsibilities; liaising with members of the inter-professional team to ensure high standards of quality and management of patient care outcomes; performing cross-functional; and/or other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned or requested. This position is located at Queen Street and may require the candidate to work flexible hours.The successful candidate must have a Bachelor\'s degree in health care and be registered and in good standing with a regulated health professional college. A Master\'s degree in a healthcare field is preferred. Three (3) years of recent, related clinical leadership experience is required. Previous supervisory/management experience is preferred. Familiarity with financial and operational practices, computer proficiency, strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills are required. Knowledge and experience Witham Emergency Department, CAMH inpatient units and CAMH Patient Flow is strongly preferred. You will have demonstrated knowledge and experience of mental health and addiction systems and an understanding of service inpatient/Emergency Department service delivery across diverse patient populations. You will have proven commitment to supporting teams and client and family-centered care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), the ability to work effectively within a dynamic inter-professional team are essential to the role. You have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) and ICARE.
