Hopewell Support Services is looking for a full-time Clinical Nurse Supervisor to join our Residential and Respite Services Team, supporting individuals with developmental and physical disabilities across multiple sites in Guelph-Wellington, ON!

Competitive annual salary range between $57,000.00 - $80,000.00 and flexible full-time work schedule based on client & staff needs. YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES





Reporting to the Manager, Respite and Residential Services, your day-to-day responsibilities include:


Clinical Support & Direct Care




Provide hands-on care, conduct needs assessments, address health concerns, and resolve issues. Follow up on outcomes in Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and oversee daily medical needs, including insulin administration and physiotherapy support.

Leadership, Supervision & Staff Development




Direct, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure quality and efficient use of resources. Mentor and guide staff in medical protocols, individualized care plans, and condition-specific procedures (e.g., seizure management, diabetes care). Oversee implementation of plans from specialists and conduct performance check-ins and evaluations. Provide hands-on training in medication administration, personal care, and emergency response.

Administrative Authority & Policy Implementation




Establish and maintain administrative procedures to meet organizational objectives. Participate in policy development regarding eligibility, program requirements, and benefits. Prepare activity reports and serve as a liaison with families, community agencies, and internal leadership.

Compliance, Documentation & Reporting




Oversee medication administration, documentation, and adherence to licensing and regulatory standards. Support reporting to the Ministry and maintain quality assurance compliance. Ensure culturally competent, ethical, and professional decision-making, reporting any contraventions of legislation, standards, or policies. Maintain registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and complete required training.

Coordination & Resource Management




Schedule and coordinate medical appointments and communicate with physicians, specialists, dentists, and pharmacies. Manage medical supplies, equipment, and budgets efficiently. Maintain knowledge of safety protocols, including First Aid, CPR, CPI, WHMIS, OHSA, fire prevention, and crisis management.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE




Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including 2 or more years in a leadership or supervisory role, ideally within the developmental services or not-for-profit sector supporting vulnerable populations. Extensive knowledge of medical complexities in the developmental services population, including seizure and diabetes management, with experience overseeing individualized care plans and medication protocols. Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring, coaching, and supporting professional growth of nursing staff. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail. Proficient in Office 365, AIMS, and electronic documentation systems. Valid Class G driver's license and willingness to travel between program sites as required. Current First Aid, CPR, and WHMIS certifications (or willingness to obtain), with a commitment to maintaining compliance and best practices in nursing care. Ability to safely lift, transfer, and support individuals following proper back care and program-specific guidelines. Collaborative and solutions-focused approach, with professionalism and integrity in all interactions with staff, clients, and external partners.
