The CNS acts as a resource, consultant and advocate for children and youth who have been or may have been neglected, physically, sexually or emotionally abused, or have witnessed and been affected by domestic violence. The CNS advances the care for children and families by collaboratively developing and incorporating standards of care through practice, education and research relating to children and youth who have been or may have been neglected, physically, sexually or emotionally abused, or have witnessed and been affected by domestic violence. As an expert clinician with theoretical knowledge, the CNS directly contributes to improved outcomes of care for children, youth, and families with complex health issues throughout the continuum of care. The CNS works in collaboration with children, youth, families, the inter-disciplinary team, and community partners. The CNS contributes to the advancement of nursing practice through role-modelling, mentoring, implementation of research, and consultation. The CNS arranges/ provides education for interdisciplinary team members throughout the Health Centre, in schools, with community partners across the Maritimes around care for children and youth who have been or may have been neglected, physically, sexually or emotionally abused, or have witnessed and been affected by domestic violence.Hours of Work0800-1600 on Mon/Tues and 0800-1200 on Thurs.Your Qualifications
