Summary of Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Professional Practice Directorate and in support of the Nurse Practitioner, the incumbent serves as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in wound care and enterostomal therapy.

Profile and Experience

Candidates will be considered based on the following profile:



Hold a Bachelor's degree in Nursing;

Have five (5) years of clinical experience in acute care and three (3) years in wound management;

Have completed a recognized training program in wounds, ostomies, and continence, such as the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Institute (WOC Institute: wocinstitute.ca);

Hold a current certification in wound, ostomy, and continence care from the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA);

Demonstrate skills in teaching and counseling, particularly with adults and in program development;

Exhibit excellent communication skills;

Show leadership and autonomy;

Proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities;

Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous learning and personal development;

Asset

Holding a Master's degree in Nursing or another field relevant to the role is considered an asset.
