The Role
You'll balance a community-based caseload with leadership responsibilities. You'll provide trauma-informed care, mentor team members, oversee operations, and support growth across the province.
Clinical Responsibilities
? Deliver OT services in homes, workplaces, and virtually: assessment, treatment planning, intervention, and discharge.
? Work with clients experiencing physical, cognitive, and mental health conditions using culturally safe and trauma-informed practice.
? Conduct functional, cognitive, ergonomic, workplace, and home safety assessments. Recommend adaptive equipment and rehabilitation plans.
? Serve diverse funders: ICBC, Veterans Affairs Canada, WorkSafeBC, extended benefits, and others.
? Document accurately and on time in line with professional and funder standards.
? Apply standardized outcome measures and evidence-based practice.
? Participate in case conferences with clients, families, employers, and interdisciplinary teams.
? Manage a hybrid schedule with regional travel.
Management Responsibilities
? Leadership & Mentorship: Support onboarding, mentor clinicians, provide file reviews, and lead growth-focused check-ins.
? Training & Development: Lead monthly learning sessions and foster specialty practice areas (e.g., concussion, chronic pain, ergonomics).
What You Bring
? Degree in Occupational Therapy, with at least 10 years of practice experience.
? Registration in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
? Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
? Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
