Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Quality
Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
Ensure compliance with provincial health legislation, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
Monitor quality indicators, risk trends, and infection control data, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
Act as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing and allied health staff, supporting evidence-based practice.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, audits, and quality initiatives to enhance resident/patient outcomes.

Education, Training & Professional Development
Assess learning needs and develop comprehensive education and training programs for all clinical staff.
Facilitate ongoing clinical education, including workshops, certifications, and in-service sessions.
Support staff in achieving continuing education and licensing requirements.
Champion a culture of professional growth, encouraging leadership development and lifelong learning.

Operations & Collaboration
Manage departmental resources efficiently, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.

Qualifications
Current registration in good standing with the
College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
.
Bachelor of Nursing (BN)
required;
Master's Degree
in Nursing, Education, or Healthcare Leadership is an asset.
Minimum
5 years of clinical nursing experience
, including
2+ years in a leadership or educator role
.
Demonstrated expertise in adult learning principles, clinical teaching, and competency development.
Strong knowledge of healthcare legislation, infection prevention, and accreditation standards.
Exceptional communication, coaching, and team-building skills.
Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office Suite.
