Position Summary
The Clinical Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of health programs and services at Boston Bar First Nation. This includes supervising staff, coordinating community health initiatives, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and aligning programs with funder and FNHA requirements. The role blends program management, staff leadership, and community engagement to support holistic, culturally grounded approaches to health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and evaluate health programs in collaboration with leadership and community needs.
Ensure services are delivered in alignment with funding agreements, FNHA guidelines, and organizational priorities.
Coordinate visiting practitioners, contractors, and external service providers.
Provide leadership and supervision to health staff, fostering a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Oversee scheduling, workflows, and opportunities for staff development.
Model professional, culturally safe, and respectful conduct.
Manage reporting, budgets, and program documentation required by funders and FNHA.
Ensure compliance with health regulations, safety standards, and internal policies.
Maintain supplies, equipment, and records for effective service delivery.
Work with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and families to integrate cultural values and practices into health programs.
Provide outreach and education to raise awareness about health and wellness initiatives.
Advocate for community health priorities with FNHA, regional health partners, and other stakeholders.
Participate in BBFN management team planning and contribute to long-term health strategy.
Build partnerships with external health agencies and networks to enhance services for members.
Support continuous improvement in health programming through innovation and feedback.
Qualifications
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing.
3-5 years of experience in health services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or program management role.
Strong leadership, organizational, and reporting skills.
Experience working in Indigenous or rural health settings (asset).
Knowledge of FNHA programs, standards, and reporting processes (asset).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/365 and health-related systems.
Class 5 Driver's Licence and reliable transportation.
Clear Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector clearance.
