Job Description

The Clinical Laboratory Coordinator is responsible for the management of the laboratory department and activities involving study samples (e.g. blood samples, biopsies, etc.), material and equipment. He is also responsible for laboratory kits, various inventories and maintenance and calibration of clinical and laboratory devices and equipment.

More specifically, the Clinical Laboratory Coordinator must:

• Process the samples received in the laboratory according to the procedures specific to the studies;
• Ensure optimal storage conditions for samples and manage storage equipment, and temperature monitoring system and deviations;
• Ensure the shipping and receiving of samples within the time required by the client;
• Manages receipt and identification of study specific equipment and material;
• Provide quality training to clinical staff performing laboratory tasks;
• Meet performance expectations with regard to the management of the laboratory;
• Understand the principles and processes for providing excellent customer service internally and externally;
• Understand the clinical research protocols for the studies in which he collaborates;
• Respect the established procedures (SOP) and contributes to procedures updates;
• Plan, organize and prioritize the work of his team in order to meet the established deadlines;
• Plan the personnel, space, material and equipment needs of his group;
• Support research coordinators during inspections and audits;
• Participate in the revision of SOPs and laboratory training manuals;
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain clarifications on the study samples;
• Participate in the continuous improvement of the laboratory;

Plus sp\xc3\xa9cifiquement, le Coordonateur de laboratoire clinique doit:

• Assurer des conditions de stockage optimales pour les \xc3\xa9chantillons et g\xc3\xa9rer l\'\xc3\xa9quipement de stockage, le syst\xc3\xa8me de surveillance de la temp\xc3\xa9rature et les \xc3\xa9carts ;
• Assurer l\'exp\xc3\xa9dition et la r\xc3\xa9ception des \xc3\xa9chantillons dans les d\xc3\xa9lais requis par le client ;
• G\xc3\xa9rer la r\xc3\xa9ception et l\'identification de l\'\xc3\xa9quipement et du mat\xc3\xa9riel sp\xc3\xa9cifiques \xc3\xa0 l\'\xc3\xa9tude ;
• Fournir une formation de qualit\xc3\xa9 au personnel clinique charg\xc3\xa9 des t\xc3\xa2ches de laboratoire ;
• R\xc3\xa9pondre aux attentes en ce qui concerne la gestion du laboratoire ;
• Comprendre les principes et les processus permettant de fournir un excellent service \xc3\xa0 la client\xc3\xa8le \xc3\xa0 l\'interne et \xc3\xa0 l\'externe ;
• Comprendre les protocoles de recherche clinique pour les \xc3\xa9tudes auxquelles il collabore ;

Education:

• Bachelor of Science or a related discipline;

Experience

• Experience of one to three years in a pharmaceutical or research environment, preferably in the laboratory;

• Strong interest in science and clinical research;
• Is recognized for his understanding of the scientific process, his ability to analyze and understand research protocols;
• Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG/IATA) regulations;
• Intermediate / advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel-Word);
