Reporting to the Senior Implementation Lead, the Clinical Informatics Lead (CIL) coordinates multiple concurrent implementations of Connect Care applications, while leading optimization work for teams who have already implemented Connect Care. The CIL ensures adherence to established configuration standards, promotion of standard clinical content, and adoption of best clinical practices. Experience implementing clinical systems and transforming clinical process and workflow are definite assets. Acting as a lead escalation point, this role gathers complex requirements and works out solutions with business stakeholders promoting consistent use of the Connect Care system. Complex issues or requirements often require work with other IT teams, governance groups, and vendors to identify solutions that best meet the clinical needs. Using adult learning principles, the CIL develops, and delivers educational activities for orientation, changes in policies, procedures and protocols as well as other practice support documents to promote clinical competence for staff. The CIL determines appropriate education based on quality improvement, strategic plans and objectives as well as organizational needs. The CIL collaborates with the leadership team around quality improvement strategies and facilitates appropriate educational activities and process changes.

Required Qualifications:

A recognized post-secondary degree or diploma in a health-related discipline such as nursing, allied health, health informatics. Minimum 5 years healthcare experience. Minimum of 2 years' experience with using or managing clinical information systems is required. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal growth. Experience and expertise in facilitating presentations to convey information or transfer knowledge. Presentations are often to persuade or influence. Teaching/facilitation skills in small and large group settings utilizing knowledge of adult learning principles. Coaching and mentoring skills. Involvement in developing/delivering and implementing educational programs or initiatives an asset. Change management knowledge and experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in providing direct patient care in a clinical setting is considered an asset. EPIC / Connect Care software knowledge and experience strongly desired.
