Your Opportunity:
As a Pharmacy Connect Superuser (Clinical Informatician) you will be an integral part of the Pharmacy Connect project team. The role involves acquiring expert knowledge of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and related technologies (hereafter referred to as 'the Solution'); related technologies include ancillary equipment such as handheld devices, the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), Consolidation System (put to light put wall) and Conveyance. Superusers develop additional testing scenarios and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenarios and scripts and have a supervisory role in the execution of UAT testing to confirm success. Superusers also serve as trained-trainers, facilitating and providing in-classroom and virtual teaching in the Solution for frontline users. This position is required to work a portion of time on site in testing and/or production locations in Edmonton.
Description:
As a Clinical Informatician, you will lead or participate in the customization, development, implementation, management, evaluation, and continuous improvement of clinical information systems. You will develop and deploy information and systems solutions, drawing on expert clinical experience, and knowledge from their health discipline. Working in the field of Clinical Health Informatics will require you to incorporate the application of information technology to facilitate the creation and use of health related data, informatics aspects of safe, efficient, and effective health services for all Canadians.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of bachelor's degree in a health related field. Active registration with the applicable professional association or college. Additional Required Qualifications:
Diploma from accredited Pharmacy Technician program and active registration as a Pharmacy Technician with ACP or applicable professional association/college. Active registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy. 5 years' experience in hospital pharmacy operations. Subject matter expertise on relevant teams and working groups, providing input into solutions based on best practices, regulatory and legislative requirements, and AHS requirements and policy. Understanding of current and future state workflows and practice and integration into the system configuration. Skills facilitating group discussions and teachings, keeping the frontline users on task to achieve deliverables. Demonstrated creative and critical thinking, innovation focused, change orientated individual with strong logical reasoning skills. Demonstrated communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated time management skills and adaptability when priorities are required to change. Demonstrated ability to be able to work both independently and cooperatively in a team environment. Prior work on large-scale projects and implementation of major IT projects; technology knowledge and aptitude. Extensive knowledge of the concepts and functionality of the WMS system. Strong collaboration skills, interacting with key players to provide knowledge support related to the functionality of WMS and automation. Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years' experience as Lead, Trainer or similar position in Pharmacy. Ability to facilitate group discussions and keep the frontline users on task to maintain education. Ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching, and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Knowledge of organizational/clinical workflows and practice. Experience with Epic and/or other systems, Oracle, and prior programming knowledge.
