WHAT YOU'LL DO





This is a dynamic educational leadership role that blends program design, hands-on training delivery, and collaboration with clinical and operational leaders. You will:


Develop, schedule, and coordinate orientations and educational programs across AMS's service divisions. Audit and enhance existing training to meet accreditation standards, clinical competencies, and staff satisfaction. Create lesson plans, simulation scenarios, and maintain an educational calendar. Manage and optimize the learning management system for program delivery and progress tracking. Coordinate hospital clinical rotations and other hands-on learning experiences with partner healthcare facilities. Lead Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Clinical Support Manager. Research and implement innovative teaching methods, including e-learning and simulation. Provide in-person, on-site, and remote orientation, precepting, and mentoring for clinical staff. Maintain accurate reporting for accreditation and quality assurance requirements.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR





You are an experienced clinician and passionate educator who thrives on seeing others succeed. You're equally comfortable designing learning strategies, leading engaging training sessions, and collaborating with leadership teams to ensure education aligns with organizational goals.


Required Qualifications




Registered Nurse or Advanced/Critical Care Paramedic registered with a Canadian regulatory body, in good standing. Minimum 3 years clinical experience in primary care or advanced practice. Minimum 3 years of education or instructional experience in a similar healthcare setting. Proven ability to design and deliver clinical education programs. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently. Proficiency in Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint).

Preferred Assets




Instructor certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ITLS, CTAS. Experience in e-learning content development and LMS administration. Education degree or significant experience in educational program development.

WORKING CONDITIONS





This role is primarily remote, with monthly travel to AMS headquarters in Yellowknife or other training sites as required. You will work with both standard office technology and a range of medical training and clinical equipment.
